MiCar is changing the way cars are owned and rented out thanks to its economic and convenient approach with affordable rates, user-friendly app-based booking, paperless billing, doorstep delivery and minimal security deposit to name a few. The company has also ensured that there is minimum paperwork for the customer. So, once the verification is complete, there are no more paper-work formalities. The company also facilitates support through a 24*7 call centre and roadside assistance that’s just a call away. A pay-by-half-hour facility is available for those who want to keep the car for an extra 30 minutes without being billed for the day. Giving it an edge over its competitors, the company promises to put to rest all the common concerns that come with renting a self-drive car – insurance, car cleaning, damages, parking and roadside assistance.

The technology-driven operations and loyal network of fleet partners ensures that it’s always a glitch-free ride for the customer. Since the company owns no assets of its own, it’s easy for it to adapt and adjust to varying customer demand as opposed to having fixed infrastructure that restricts people from faraway areas to come and pick cars.

MiCar plans to expand its operations to Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities by November 2015. As a part of the plan, Goa, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Aurangabad will soon come under the company’s ambit.

Co-founder & Director
MiCar
Spokesperson Profile

Suyagya Agrawal is the co-founder and director at MiCar, a popular self-drive car rental service based out of the capital. Suyagya drives Technology and Marketing at MiCar.
While studying in the States, Suyagya realised that he didn’t want to restrict himself to the 9-5 office routine. Even though he loved technology, he wanted to make it more relevant in real-life. Meanwhile, he had been a loyal consumer of Zipcar during his university days. What set the ball rolling was the realisation that there was a gap in the self-drive car rental market in India. So, after some number crunching and analysis of market feasibility, he pitched his idea to his father, who eventually decided to fund the initiative.
Suyagya holds a Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA (2007-2011). Before he joined MiCar, he worked as a software engineer in a proprietary trading firm in Chicago and then worked with Cisco Systems till April 2013.
His aim is to actively lead the company’s expansion plan. For this, he will specifically look at launching the brand in multiple cities along with building the necessary technology to support efficient and intelligent logistical operations. He also wants to make MiCar the country’s “neighbourhood car”.
In his leisure time, this die-hard techie likes to swim, read, follow computer trends, play pool and groove to electronic dance music.
