Mercedes-Benz India sold 10,000 units from January-September 2015



• Record 10,079 units sold in the January-September 2015 period, a 34% year-on-year growth (Jan- Sep 2014: 7,529 units)


• Mercedes-Benz India almost equals the entire 2014 sales volume, in the first nine months of 2015 (Jan-Dec 2014: 10,201 units)

• Mercedes-Benz sold 3,420 units in July-Sep 2015 (July-Sep 2014: 2,812 | +22%)

• This stellar growth is enabled by a strong customer preference of the entire portfolio comprising the New Generation Cars, the sedans, the SUVs and the performance cars

• The luxury sedans comprising the World Car of the Year- the new C-Class, the E-Class, the S-Class and the stylish CLA-Class remained key volume contributors and grew by 39% (Jan-Sep 2015)

• The SUV portfolio comprising the GLA, M-Class, GL-Class grew strongly by 70% in the Jan - Sep 2015 period | All new GLE-Class to be launched on 14-Oct

• Densest network presence for any luxury car maker, 80 outlets in 39 cities: new outlets in Jamshedpur, Ghaziabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Calicut inaugurated | Total 12 new outlets inaugurated in Jan-Sep 2015 period

Mercedes-Benz scripts its best sales ever in the Jan-Sep period; crosses the 10,000 units sales mark in the first nine months of 2015 


Pune: India’s largest luxury car brand Mercedes-Benz, continued its stellar growth performance in the first nine months of the year. Continuing its historic growth momentum and record sales run, Mercedes-Benz India registered a robust 34% growth in the January-September 2015 period delivering 10,079 cars to its customers since January 2015. By selling 10079 units, Mercedes-Benz sold almost the entire volume of 2014 in the first nine months of 2015. 

This spectacular growth is enabled by the most comprehensive and a young product portfolio comprising the New Generation Cars, the sedans, the SUVs and the AMG performance cars. The CLA, the C-Class and the E-Class sedans spearheaded the sales volumes of Mercedes-Benz, coupled with strong performance from the SUV portfolio as well. The sedan portfolio emerged stronger by 39% in the January-September 2015 period. Spearheading the popularity of the SUV portfolio was the sales success of the GLA, closely matched by the M-Class and the GL-Class. The SUV portfolio grew by an impressive 70% in January-September 2015 period. Giving a further boost to the unmatched SUV portfolio, Mercedes-Benz will be launching the new GLE (earlier M-Class) on 14th October for the India market. The company also witnessed strong sales performance from the exclusive and top-end performance brand Mercedes-AMG and the Mercedes-Maybach sub-brands. The Mercedes-Maybach S 600 is already sold out for the remaining quarter of 2015 and the booking for the locally produced Mercedes-Maybach S 500 has already commenced.
