13th October, 2015: JK Tyre & Industries Ltd, pioneers of radial tyres in India, has
been awarded with this year’s TATA Motors Best Supplier of the Year award at
the TATA Motors vendor’s conference 2015 held in Pune on 6th October.
The TATA Motors Supplier of the Year award recognizes the overall performances,
contribution and commitment of its most valued partner and involves a rigorous
selection process.
Mr. Vivek Kamra,
President India, JK Tyres and Industries Ltd received the award from Mr. Cyrus
Mistry, Chairman Tata Group and Mr. B B Parekh, Chief Purchase Officer Tata
Motors Ltd.
JK Tyre has been
working very closely with Tata Motors team on various new products and adding
capacity to meet growing requirement of Truck Radial Tyres. JK Tyre and Tata
Motors have long been partners and run the Customer Loyalty Program for Tata’s over
11000 Fleets. JK Tyre also works with Tata Motors to organise regular visits of
key Tata customers to the tyre plant.
JK Tyre has been
the official tyre supplier for the two successful editions of T1 Prima Truck
Racing since the championship’s introduction in India in 2014. JK Tyre specially
developed JETRACING tyres for the races and were lauded by the international
drivers and experts for the “reliable” and “grippy” qualities.
