Mercedes-Benz extends its support for the German football team in the UEFA Euro 2016, delights Indian enthusiasts with the ‘Sport Edition’ of the A-Class, CLA and GLA

Pune: India’s largest luxury car maker, Mercedes-Benz introduced a ‘Sport Edition’ of
the A-Class, GLA and CLA in India today, celebrating the spirit of the UEFA EURO
Championship 2016. The introduction of this ‘Sport Edition’ is concurrent with the
inaugural day of the much awaited UEFA EURO 2016. Mercedes-Benz has been
instrumental in supporting and nurturing talent for the beautiful game and providing the
best of products and services for its customers, worldwide. The entire ensemble of the
‘Sport Edition’ has vibrant exterior accessories that make this special collection of cars,
namely, A-Class, CLA and GLA, sporty, dynamic and stunningly beautiful. The ‘Sport
Edition’ exudes the design of a real AMG with front and rear bumper, side skirts as well
as the AMG carbon fibre mirror cover. The ‘Sport Edition’ was introduced by Roland
Folger, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India.

The all new ‘Sport Edition’ will boast of significant exterior changes in the car body
style like the ‘Sport Edition’ badge, the sport pedals and the black hub caps. There
will be German national football team merchandise on display along with the ‘Sport
Edition’ so the patrons and football enthusiasts can experience the lavishness of the
brand while supporting their favourite team. The ‘Sport Edition’ will be available only
for a limited time period until July 10, 2016.

The pronounced, arrow-shaped front module and the striking radiator grille lend the
A-Class a confident look and an air of vitality. To emphasize the beauty of the AClass,
radiator trim in the form of a diamond radiator grille is part of the Mercedes-
Benz ‘Sport Edition’. The front bumper has been treated with apron spoiler lip along
with chrome trims adding to the sportiness of the front design.

The modified rear on the A-Class emphasizes the width even more effectively and
exudes strength and dynamism. Thanks to the increased downforce on the rear
axle, the ‘Sport Edition’ spoiler painted in the vehicle colour on the roof helps to
ensure better road holding. The diffusor-look rear apron trim enhance the looks,
providing a muscular feel to the rear end.

GLA: Front splitters in matt titanium grey and distinctive flicks over the large side air
intakes give a dynamic note to the AMG front apron.

GLA: The GLA features a typical breadth-emphasizing SUV rear-end design with
athletic shoulders, which makes both a powerful and harmonious impression.
CLA: The horizontally structured rear end combines elegant coupé contours with
innovative, sporty features. When viewed from the rear, the pronounced muscles on
the rear wings form the athletic shoulders of the CLA.

India. The idea is to have a stronger connect with the target audience during the UEFA

football players and a backdrop of fans cheering for the German national football team.
