Mercedes-Benz India opens its outlets in Mumbai and Ahmedabad





Mercedes-Benz India inaugurates two new outlets in a day: Mumbai gets a new state-of-art workshop as Ahmedabad gets its first standalone pre-owned luxury car outlet- Mercedes-Benz Certified

Pune: Mercedes-Benz inaugurated two new outlets in one day in the cities of Mumbai and Ahmedabad. While Auto Hangar Mumbai inaugurated its state-of-art Service and Spares’ facilities in Mumbai, Benchmark Cars inaugurated, Gujarat’s first standalone pre-owned car outlet, Mercedes-Benz Certified in Ahmedabad. With these two inaugurations, Mercedes-Benz now has its network spread reach to 39 Indian cities with 80 outlets, the densest for any luxury car maker in India.

Speaking on the inauguration Devdutta Chandavarkar, Vice-President, After Sales, Mercedes-Benz India said, “Mercedes-Benz is globally known for its impeccable service standards and we are extremely satisfied that we have been able to provide this to our innumerable patrons. We have been focusing on strategically expanding our network in India and this new state-of-art workshop is yet another step to move closer to the customers”

The new world-class workshop of Auto Hangar has been designed and created to provide a fascinating ‘Mercedes-Benz experience’ for the customers. The workshop was created over a span of 5 months, and boasts of latest infrastructure, equipment and highly trained staff. Auto Hangar Mumbai workshop spreads over a covered area of 26,000 sq. ft. and has 16 servicing bays capable of servicing 20 cars per day. Strategically located in one of the most prominent places of Mumbai at Raghuvanshi Mills Compound, the new workshop of Auto Hangar is in a very upscale locality. Auto Hangar Mumbai has highly qualified, experienced and dedicated team of committed personnel who will take care of all the service requirements of Mercedes-Benz customers.

Auto Hangar Mumbai is equipped with sophisticated equipment and latest technology likes remote sensing diagnosis used by Mercedes-Benz globally. The workshop owing to its large tooling capacity will be taking care of all the servicing requirements of the customers of Mumbai and also those from neighboring cities, under one roof. The workshop will provide round the clock support in Service, General Repairs, Body Repairs, Paint Job, Wheel Alignment, Wheel Balancing, Tyre Change, Car Wash, Polishing and gamut of other servicing requirements.

Mercedes-Benz Certified, Ahmedabad: Mercedes-Benz India also inaugurated Gujarat’s first standalone pre-owned car outlet, Mercedes-Benz Certified in Ahmedabad. Benchmark Cars will provide the pre-owned car customers an experience equivalent to a new car purchase, offering class leading facilities, infrastructure, tailor-made financing options, exciting warranty and service packages. There will also be evaluation of the pre-owned cars of the customers at the facility. The facility also promises a world class experience which is similar to a new Mercedes-Benz car showroom. Mercedes-Benz Certified makes the customer experience unique and comprehensive. The key objective is to make the trade-in and/or the purchase of a customer’s dream car hassle-free. For instance the online evaluation tool has a 130 point check list which enables a fast and accurate evaluation as well as ultimately a better pricing.

Mercedes-Benz India registered a stellar 41% year-on-year growth by selling 6659 units in the Jan - June 2015 period. This sales growth also marks the brand’s highest ever Q2 volumes at 3093 units, up by 43%. Mercedes-Benz for the second consecutive year has emerged as the ‘most awarded luxury car brand’ in India. The brand has won as many as 34 prestigious automotive awards conferred by different media houses across India, the highest won by any luxury automotive brand in India. In the Economic Times’ Brand Equity. ‘Most Exciting Brands’ survey 2015, Mercedes-Benz emerged on top of the ‘Automotive four wheeler’ category and remained the topmost auto brand in the survey that comprised 100 brands in India across categories.
